BIM 101 Training Course
What is Building Information Modelling (BIM) and how is it relevant to me?
This is a question on many people’s mind in today’s building and construction sector, and the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA) in collaboration with A2K Technologies has developed “a beginner’s guide to the business of BIM and BIM-MEPAUS”, with the intention to answer that exact question and hopefully several others that you possibly haven’t thought of yet.
As part of this online course we will not answer all the questions relating to BIM adoption strategy, but hope at least, to guide people towards knowing what questions they need to ask when defining one.
The BIM-MEPAUS is an AMCA initiative that facilitates the implementation of BIM and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) within the Australian Construction Building Services Sector. BIM-MEPAUS Practices dissolve the barriers that are currently preventing the effective take-up and use of BIM within Australia. http://www.bimmepaus.com.au/
The course is intended to provide a general overview of BIM for the building and construction industry with particular reference to the Building Services industry. This course is provided on-line, enabling you to go through the material at your own time and at your own pace, as well as provide you with a resource you can revisit again and again.
