Use Download Now Method for Autodesk Account

The Download Now method downloads and uncompresses full software install files using the Autodesk Download Manager.

Why Should I Use Download Now?

Download Now reduces the time it takes to get applications installed and running by decompressing product files during the download. The Autodesk Download Manager also lets you pause and restart downloads. Files downloaded using Download Now can be installed at a later time, on a different computer, or as a deployment.

Keep these things in mind:

  • Not always available: Download Now may not be available for all products and operating systems. If this download method is not offered, use an alternate download method. If you encounter errors, try another Web browser.

  • Component installation failure: You may need to completely uninstall all previous versions before attempting to install a new version.  A message that some software components were not installed is often due to software conflicts on your computer and not because the components were not downloaded.

To download software using Download Now:

For Windows systems, 32-bit or 64-bit refers to your operating system platform, which you can verify by going to Control Panel > System.

  1. Sign in to your Autodesk Account:

    Access account management

  2. Locate your product in the list of Products & Services and click the download icon.

  3. Select the VersionPlatforms, and Language on the download window.
  4. Click the View All link, select Download Now, and click the Download Now button. If Download Now or the View All options are not available, select a different method.

  5. Open or install the Autodesk Download Manager if prompted. 

    Note: A "Communication Error" could indicate a problem with your browser's security settings. See: Communication Failure message during download and installation.

  6. When prompted to save the download to the default location, click OK (recommended) or browse to a different location.

    The Download Manager displays your download progress. 

  7. When the download is complete, you can click Install to start the installation process immediately. If you choose to wait, you can locate the installation file in your Downloads folder and start the installation process.
